Ginseng oolong (or wulong) is a tea with the peculiar appearance of small pebbles, it is after the leaves have been wrapped into tight ‘pebbles’ that they are combined and flavoured with powdered ginseng. This gives the tea not only an interesting appearance, but also unique properties.
Hand-picked in Wuzhishan Mountain, Hainan Province, China, made from the leaves, buds, and stems of the Camellia sinensis plant, Oolong tea is slightly fermented and semi-oxidized, striking a harmonious balance between black and green tea, delivering a rich, mellow flavour without bitterness.
This particular tea is so refreshing. The taste is smooth with a hint of sweetness. You will be able to refresh the tea all day at work. You will find your favorite!
Brewing Tips:
Chinese Gongfu Method:
Gaiwan 150-200ml
7g tea
Water temperature: 212℉ / 100℃
7 steeps: rinse, 25s, 35s, 45s, 55s, 65s, 75s, 85s
Cup Method:
Teacup: 12oz / 355ml
Water temperature: 212℉ / 100℃
5g tea
Brewing time: 2-4 minutes.
