The Microplane Premium Red Spice Grater is a short, rounded rasp style grater. This kitchen tool for grating cinnamon, and grating nutmeg is efficient. It is constructed out of 18/8 stainless steel with razor sharp edges. These blades are made in the USA. This spice grater originated in the wood shop, and because it is ultra-sharp and fast it became a kitchen gadget. Grating whole spices into perfectly ground spice particles was hard work and cooks needed a utensil to do the job. The spice grater answered that call. This nutmeg grater offers a premium handle that is ergonomic, and soft to the touch. Each grater comes with a plastic safety cover for storage. This Microplane cook’s tool is also dishwasher safe.
