The Forney 45464 Super Ni-Cast 55-percent nickel is the ultimate rod for all known grades of cast iron. Great for joining heavy or thin sections to steel. The computer controlled coating produces welds that represent the optimum balance between tensile strength and machinability. Typical applications include welding grades 30, 40 and 50 gray cast irons - all thicknesses in all positions. We're committed to your success regardless of location size or needs. 1/8 inch (3.18 mm) rod diameter. 1/2 pound (.23 Kg) box of rod. Tensile strength is 70,000 PSI. Amperage: 70-110 amps. Hardness: E-NiFe-Cl. Recommended polarity: DC reverse or AC. Claims for warranty must be made within 90 days of the date of purchase. Proof of purchase required. This warranty does not cover any product that has been subject to misuse, neglect, negligence or accident, or that has been used in any way contrary to the purpose intended.
• All position nickel iron electrode used to repair cast iron or to weld cast iron to steel producing dense, hard and crack resistant welds
• Not easily machined, requires carbide tools
• Welds are stronger than Super Ni Cast 99-Percent welds
• Typical applications are grade 30, 40 and 50 gray cast irons
• Ideal for repairing sewer pipe, machine base, transmission and gear housing also repair and build up of gears
