The Sweetone Tinwhistle features Clarke’s precision ABS plastic mouthpiece. It is easy to play and produces a clear, crisp, clean, sound with good volume. It also takes very little air to produce a beautiful tone. Because of its excellent playability it is well suited for the serious musician and novice alike. The Sweetone Tinwhistle has a tapered bore. The tapered sides of the whistle have the effect of bringing the finger holes closer together and increasing the range and accuracy of the higher notes. In 1996 Clarke introduced the first conical bore Tinwhistle to be made with a synthetic mouthpiece. Handmade in the UK using quality raw materials; the mouthpiece is moulded using ABS PC blend. This, combined with modern technology and traditional workmanship gives it a clear and accurate tone making it an ideal tinwhistle for the professional player and the enthusiastic amateur. Clarke’s Sweetone whistle is the choice for homeschool and public school music programs, folk camp workshops, renaissance faires, and Irish or Celtic sessions. Pennywhistles are even easier to learn than the recorder. This Clarke Sweetone comes packaged in a Black soft cloth pouch with drawstring ties to keep your whistle safe and secure. The pouch is stamped with a gold image of Clarke's signature Whistling Billy logo. Available in the keys of D and C. In ten great colors.
