Mild High Club is the solo project and live band helmed by Alex Brettin, a Los Angeles-based musician originally from Chicago. Influenced by AOR and jazz, Brettin began working on Mild High Club material in 2012 by himself, using guitars, keyboards, computers, and a four-track recorder, while shuttling between Chicago, Baltimore, and Los Angeles. I'm not really sure how to categorize this disc - Jazz? Psychedelic? Pop? All of the above? Whatever you want to call it, this disc has some cool sounds and a nice mellow flow from start to finish with some catchy riffs. Nothing really jumps out as a highlight, there is a consistent pleasing quality to the whole thing, a nice mellow, pleasant listen. Probably not for everyone, but what is?

The sound is very good for an under 20$ buy, a few issues with the space between some songs that bleed into each other but other then that minor headache id recommend.
