Product Description
The PATENTED MS-336 Mid Span Slit and Ring Tool is designed to provide easy access to optical fibers in thin walled outer jacketed cables. The MS-336 is an extension of the MS-326 series tool targeting larger cables such as Cornings Minixtend HD 288 and 432 fiber count cables.
Consists of 2 precision slitting grooves and 2 precision ring grooves. Grooves ranging in sizes from 7.9-8.2 & 10.7-11.0 mm
One side of tool performs Radial/ring cuts and the other side slits the cable (longitudinal cut)
Indicator line on top of the unit indicates the position of the blade for accurate slitting and ringing
This tool is specifically designed for use on Corning Minixtend HD 288F and Minixtend HD 432F cable. Both with FastAccess
Replacement blades available, part number MS-336RB
Blades last at least 5,000 slits/cuts
• EASY OPERATION: Simply open the tool, place the fiber in the proper groove, lock the tool, and either pull the fiber through to slit, or rotate the tool around the fiber to ring
• VERSATILE USE: Precision grooves are sized 7.9-8.2 & 10.7-11.0 mm to accommodate large fiber optic cables such as Corning’s Minixtend HD 288 and 432 fiber count cables
• LIGHTWEIGHT AND PORTABLE: Weighing only 4 oz and measuring 2.3" x 1.5" x 2.2" with included tethering hole, this tool is perfect to use in tight spaces and on the go
• EASY ALIGNMENT: Indicator line on top of the unit indicates the position of the blade for accurate slitting and ringing
• REPLACEMENT BLADES: Blades last at least 5,000 slits/rings each, and replacement blades are available, part number MS-336RB
