Big Horn 19524 16-Piece Sanding Sleeves Set that are designed to be used with drum sanders that are 2-1/2" tall. There are 8 of each grit included with the pack for a total of 16 sleeves. The following diameters are included: 1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1-1/2" with each sleeve being 2-1/2" tall.This pack of sleeves was originally designed to be used as an exact replacement for the Big Horn 19521 (20 Piece Rubber Sanding Drum Set) but it can also be used on any standard 2-1/2" expanding drum sander. Let your drill press or even your hand drill pull double duty and use it as a spindle sander! You cans slide these sleeves on to 2-1/2" expandable drums to use on your drill press, hand drill or even a flexible shaft To be used with drums that are self expanding which means that when they are spinning they expand to keep the sleeve on the drum. This also helps create a sort of cushion when sanding so you don’t have to apply too much pressure when using them. When sliding a new grit sleeve on to the drum most drums allow you to tighten or loosen the nut on the drum to expand or contract the drum for just the right fit. You can use this type of setup on a drill press, but you can also use them on a hand drill or even a flexible shaft attached to a drill press. This gives you the ability to use these drums in a great variety of situations.
