This deep, dark green Chalk Paint color takes inspiration from the painted shutters and doors of Amsterdam. It works particularly well with whites and creams and botanical imagery and plants, as well as looking brilliant with earthy yellows and reds – try teaming it with Primer Red, Arles and Old Ochre. It also makes a great backdrop to cool blues, such as Provence, Giverny and the purple tones of Emile.

It is the original and favorite furniture paint used by thousands of professionals across the world. • Paint Type, Size and Coverage: This water based high performance Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is 500 milliliters. Covers approximately 70 square feet. • How to Use: Make sure the surface is clean and dry. Remove loose coats of old paint or lacquer first. Before opening the can give it a good shake. Then open and stir well. If the paint is too thick, add a little water and stir. Always paint a test patch before starting your project. Apply with an Annie Sloan brush. Paint one or two coats. Drying time is approximately 30 minutes, depending on conditions. • Sealing: Chalk Paint should be sealed with Chalk Paint Wax or Chalk Paint Lacquer to protect and finish. Use a lint free cloth or Wax Brush to apply. Work the wax into the Chalk Paint and wipe away the excess before leaving to dry. • Multiple Surfaces: Chalk Paint adheres to most surfaces such as wood, glass, metal, plastic and old painted surfaces etc. You rarely need to sand or prime before painting. You can start with the fun part right away! • Tips & Tricks: Apply thickly and sand back after waxing for a vintage, distressed look. Add a little water and apply thinly for a smooth, contemporary look. Watered down, Chalk Paint can be made into a wash for furniture and floors, or used to dye fabric. In some instances, on untreated pine and some aged furniture , a yellow or pink stain may come through. Don't worry, just apply clear shellac to the stain and repaint. • Aftercare: Wash brushes in water, even if the paint is dry.
