Product Description

The offer includes 6 packets of 500g / 17.5oz each. The so-called "Biscotti di Prato" (Prato Biscuits) are extra crunchy twice-baked almond cookies commonly known as Cantucci or Cantuccini. They belong to Tuscany's classic confectionery, and are traditionally dunked in the Vin Santo at the end of a meal. Tuscan Cantucci are made with quality almonds, and can be enjoyed along with a cup of your favourite hot beverage (coffee, tea, cappuccino) or with a glass of sweet dessert wine or liquor. They do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats. Ingredients: WHEAT flour, sugar, ALMOND 20%, free-range EGGS, PINE NUTS. May contain BUTTER, SOY, PISTACHIOS and HAZELNUTS. Allergens in uppercase. Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct light and heat sources. The Premiata Fabbrica di Biscotti Mattei was established in Prato in 1858. The quality of Mattei's iconic biscuits soon began to spread beyond city and regional boundaries, also thanks to an honourable mention at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867. The "Piccolo Museo Bottega" located in the very heart of Florence showcases the history of the famous Cantucci (almond cookies) and pays homage to the family-run confectionery business that has been thriving for more than 160 years. The surname "Mattei" was also mentioned by Hermann Hesse, and former-president of the United States of America Bill Clinton is among Mattei's loyal customers.
